The Sounds of Deep Ellum serves as a time capsule of the current era, featuring a diverse group of musicians who add meaning to the cultural fabric of the neighborhood. The project’s goal is to capture the richness and diversity of the Dallas' music scene, and highlight the city’s best performers.
For decades, the Deep Ellum neighborhood has commanded the attention of international musicians with homegrown superstars like Tripping Daisy, Old 97s, Toadies, Charley Crockett, and Erykah Badu all playing a central role in keeping the culture alive. The preservation of Deep Ellum is essential to the soul of Dallas.
