It’s About Helping Our Deep Ellum Community

In the wake of the economic hardship created by the global pandemic and recent winter storms, small businesses, bars and restaurants have suffered tremendous financial hardship. Service workers are the life blood of our community, and many hourly workers who depend on wages and tips for the services they provide have been financially impacted the most.

These workers have faced unimaginable financial hardship from the loss of work and business closures. Deep Ellum 100 has been actively fundraising since the pandemic began in March of 2020 to aid our community during this crisis to support the people who make up the fabric of this neighborhood. We have successfully completed a Third Fundraiser to raise $10,000 and provide four $2,500 financial grants to help our community recover and uplift the people who live and work in this neighborhood.

We need your help to make these grants possible, and accept donations online by credit card or PayPal. You can also make a donation in cash, or by check by depositing in-person at Texas Brand Bank at 3033 Main Street in Deep Ellum. And if you prefer Venmo, you can send your donation to us at @deepellum100.

Who We HELP

Deep Ellum is internationally recognized for its live music scene, bars and restaurants, as well as 100+ murals and artists. The music venues are connected to the musicians and artists, while restaurants and bars are connected to service workers. Deep Ellum thrives on this diverse eco-system of small businesses and creatives who help make our neighborhood a hot bed of culture in Dallas. The economic hardship created by the pandemic this past few years has impacted every corner of our community. Our efforts are focused on aiding the four most important pillars in our community: small businesses, service workers, visual artists, and musicians.

SMALL BUSINESS, Restaurant or Bar

Every block is packed with small restaurants that offer authentic dining experiences and hand made craft cocktails. In addition to the diversity each restaurant and bar offers, these small businesses employ the service workers who cultivate the creative energy that makes Deep Ellum a top destination.

Service WorkerS

The familiar faces and personalities that provide memorable experiences in Deep Ellum’s restaurants and bars, music venues, shops, stores and salons are what keep this place buzzing. Small businesses, and the people who work in these establishments, are the force that creates the culture and commerce in our community.

Musician or Band

With its deep roots in blues and the jazz, Deep Ellum has always been the place where people come for music, and the richness of the performing arts. Music is the lifeblood of Deep Ellum — a central character of the neighborhood. From Edie Brickell & The New Bohemians to Erykah Badu, Leon Bridges and Charley Crockett. Many Dallas superstars got their start here. Our local artists have risen to national prominence, and anyone who is anyone has performed in one of Deep Ellum’s many stellar live music venues.

Visual Artist

Deep Ellum is home to a host of internationally recognized artists and creatives. The murals that grace the interiors and exteriors of the businesses and music venues here provide visitors a glimpse of our rich historical legacy of music, the arts and culture. From grafitti art by Infinite Crew to large scale murals by Frank Campagna and international artists like Triston Eaaton, and PixelPancho — it’s all here.
